Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pictures I shared for now :D
So, I'm back to posting again some of OOTDs. Yup, we only go casuals on Fridays, holidays and paydays so posts under this category may be far in between. Anyway, to make it up to you. Here's a set of some of my recent outfits :) And hey, I've also added some of shots of my kitchen experiments in Gracie in the Kitchen. This was my gallery of bento photos but since my daughter's school now provides their school snack, I am at a pause on bento creation. I will still try to create bento meals for my daughter though. I miss it too much :\
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pictures I shared for now :D

I guess I'm among those who have just recently joined the BB Cream bandwagon. Yes, I've read about BB creams before and even then, it sounded like a good product concept. As one who like to keep my beauty ritual as simple a possible, an all-in-one product will surely pique my interest. What kept me from immediately buying and trying one for myself are the feedbacks that BB cream usually gives a white cast especially on flash photography. Not that I'd be flocked with photographers often (feelingera lang?) but then I wouldn't want to look bad on spur-of-the-moment cam whoring sessions. Another reason why I kinda held me off from buying BB creams was because there's just too much variants to choose from. Do I go for a matte o dewy finish? How much SPF do I want? Do I need to get one with anti-aging properties? And most of all, which offers a shade that is the closest to my skintone? Kaloka, di ba?
I went for Etude House since I've read some good reviews on it. I got the darkest shade of their Bright Fit variant. Why darkest? Well, I figured that I could even it out with some powder and the shade difference will not at all be significant once the BB cream has settled onto my skin. It was a good call cos I would probably look ashen if used a lighter shade. Last year I had the courage to try out a fad - eyelash extensions. Sadly, I only had short lashes and my search for my "wonder" mascara is still on (well, maybe over already but that will be on another post). The only time I was able to wear falsies was during the boudoir session a deux with my BFF and my wedding. I love the effect of having full, long lashes on my chinita lids. Yes, I've bought fake falsies and would want to try wearing it to work but I was too lazy to practice putting it on. I was also apprehensive that wearing falsies to work might be a bit too much. Baka mapagkamalan akong drag queen. I know that there are some falsies that look natural and complementing makeup would make it more "acceptable" pero tamad talaga ako! I've been late going to work on several occassions trying to catch some more Zzzz'sss in the morning and thus I have a 5 minute make up routine that I usually do especially for mornings such as these. So an added step of putting on falsies will probably mean that I have to spend more moolah for riding taxi cabs going to work. And anyway, I'm not really a makeup junkie. Late bloomer is what you'd call me when it comes to make up but that is another story all together.
Going back to the topic, some girls in my FB group have discussed about having eyelash extensions and how they're loving it because it accentuates their eyes. I'd even looked up how long does the procedure take and what salons (?) offer this service. Sa totoo lang, ayaw ko talaga nung una kasi nanghihinayang ako na malalagas lang unti-unti sa mga mata ko yung perang pinambayad ko. BUT wanting to compensate for my flabs, I decided to give it a try. At least maganda ako kahit na mataba. (Gosh. Where the heck is my self-esteem?) Anyway, when I did have my extensions, gluing the individual lashes took only less than an hour. It wasn't painful, kinda itchy lang when the ends of the extensions were pricking my waterline as the assistant was applying it. A tape of sorts was put along my lower lids, probably to avoid having the hairs getting tangled with the lower lashes while it's not yet dry. After effect? Blooming eyes :) I must admit that I wasn't all that sure of this outfit when I had put it on. It was one of those mornings that I was just pulling out what I had in my closet and trying to at least look decent since I was already running late. For the longest time, I really wanted to wear this pleated skirt but wasn't able to do so because I haven't really shrunk to my pre-pregnancy body yet. Then I had to agonized over which jacket to wear since most of what I've tried on seem to be of the wrong length. Good thing my cropped jacket went well with this as it also added a bit of modern touch. I guess it worked out cos I received a couple of compliments during the day (and these were from a couple of guys, take note) so I was happy with my wardrobe choice.
The theme for our Christmas party was KPop. I know that KPop artists are know for their bold wardrobe choices - bright colors, mixed patterns, statement accessories. But I wasn't at all comfy with going KPop all the way plus, I already decided to wear the jumpsuit that I have in closet. So I decided to build my outfit around that key piece and just take the some KPop details to integrate into it. And the result is a party outfit that uber comfy with and I'd say definitely still my style. What did you wear for your party? :) This is a long overdue post. Outfit was worn on my first formal event postpregnancy :) I wasn't sure I'd fit into the dress since I had bought this when I was still single. Thankfully, it fit *grin*
Sleeveless flower print dress (Dress Up) + navy shrug + black belt + nude wedges
When you become a parent, every aspect in your life changes - physically, mentally, psychologically, socially.. and apparently even my shopping agenda is affected :P When I was still single, I would usually go straight either to the ladies wear, make-up or accessories section/ stores whenever I go malling. But ever since I got pregnant and had a child, I noticed that I was frequenting the children's section and decisions on what size / colors / design to get is even more time-consuming compared to when I was just buying for myself.
So earlier today when I went out for my lunchtime "walk" to the mall, I had spent my lunch hour scrounging the racks for (yet another) dress and some house clothes for Georgie. Ang bilis naman kasi lumaki ni baby kaya yung mga nabili kong damit dati e medyo "body fit" na ang dating sa aking anak :-O I was supposed to just get a couple of shorts and sandos but I just couldn't resist buying these dresses! During my lunch break, I get to the habit of going to the nearby mall – whether Greenbelt, Landmark or Glorietta. But I don’t always shop (otherwise, I’ll be broke). I browse among the items and mostly just window shop. Landmark Makati though is having its month-long sale this August and the marked down items are really tempting. On one of my lunchtime forays, I happen to chance upon this blouse from Nafnaf. I ♥ the print and the silky-soft material. Can you guess how much was it? It was only Php100! I had to confirm with the sales clerk if it was indeed only a hundred bucks. He he. But it was such a steal so I had to buy it. Don’t you just love going to sales and stumbling into something that you’d think is a good find? :) |
